announced that it will conduct a conference call and live audio webcast at
8:30 a.m. EDT on Friday, October 26, to discuss third quarter 2001 results.
Aviron will broadcast the conference call on its Web site at
http://www.aviron.com. Participants should allow approximately five minutes prior to
the call's start time to visit the site and download any streaming media
software needed to listen to the Internet broadcast. An online archive of the
broadcast will be available approximately four hours following the live call
until 5:00 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, October 30, 2001.
Aviron expects to report third quarter 2001 results after the close of
U.S. financial markets on Thursday, October 25, 2001.
