Best First Quarter Ever Follows Record Fiscal Year 2000
PLEASANTON, Calif., Oct. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- The Nellcor Oximetry Business
of Mallinckrodt Inc. (NYSE: MKG) today announced that OEM module shipments for
the first quarter ending September 30 increased by 22 percent compared with
the previous year's first quarter. This comes on the heels of a record-
breaking year in which the OEM business reported shipping over 55,000 pulse
oximetry modules.
Mallinckrodt's Nellcor Oximetry Business provides pulse oximetry modules
on an OEM basis to over 80 medical device companies around the world. The
product line ranges from small, low-power modules to the state-of-the-art
Nellcor Oxismart(R) XL modules.

of double-digit percentage unit growth.
