eFilm Workstation 2.1 includes several new features such as enhanced
thumbnail views and MPR, spine labelling, splitting image series and improved
support for CD and DVD burning. For Merge eMed FUSION PACS and RIS/PACS
customers, eFilm 2.1 provides new and improved hanging protocol functionality
when used within the FUSION PACS and RIS/PACS solutions.
"FUSION eFilm continues to deliver the tools we need in our PACS for
efficient and practical image visualization and management," said Dr. John
Green of Stanly Memorial Hospital in Albermarle, NC. "What a great step
forward for Merge! I'm a big fan of the Hanging Protocol Wizard and the
enhanced MPR capability is great."
The integration of the advanced visualization solutions from AccuImage
Corp, acquired by Merge Healthcare earlier this year, further expands eFilm
Workstation's capabilities. These optional software modules provide clinicians
with practical and intuitive post-processing tools and diagnostic
applications, such as 3D/4D, virtual colonoscopy, calcium scoring, lung nodule
detection, and image stitching.
"The integration of these software applications into eFilm Workstation is
an example of our strategy to deliver comprehensive clinical and business
workflow solutions to our customers, and enhance the definition of those
solutions to include clinical applications," said Richard Linden, President
and CEO of Merge Healthcare. "We will continue to leverage the widespread use
of eFilm Workstation software, our integrated RIS/PACS solutions and our
growing portfolio of clinical applications to further assist our customers
with the care they provide patients and their transition from a film to a
filmless workflow environment."
Merge eMed will demonstrate eFilm Workstation 2.1 with Advanced
Visualization, Merge eMed's core FUSION RIS/PACS solutions and a broad suite
of new Clinical Applications at the Radiological Society of North America in
the Merge eMed booth, #1918. To schedule an RSNA demo, call 414-977-4071 or
