Software Corporation today announced the next generation of its Interstage(R)
Suite, one of the world's broadest families of application infrastructure
software products for designing, developing, and managing scalable, customized
mission-critical applications. The Interstage Suite, now available, offers
groundbreaking new products and feature enhancements, which are designed to
facilitate the management of processes and content, and support Web services.
Today, more than 8,000 enterprises, representing over 83,000 installations

Core products of the Interstage Suite include the Interstage Application
Server, Interstage Business Process Manager and Interstage Portal. The next
generation of the suite adds significant new capabilities to Fujitsu's
best-of-breed products for managing the processes and content that drive
applications, including:
-- New Interstage XML Search, a high-speed search vehicle for XML data,
allows queries to XML data, reports and documents, unlimited by size or
location; results for 100 or 1000 simultaneous searches are completed
in virtually the same time. The first commercial, solution of its kind,
XML Search achieves this performance by using Fujitsu's patent-pending
high-speed search algorithm, which distributes large amounts of XML
data across a grid of retrieval servers.
-- New Interstage XBRL Processor is the first full-featured
industrial-strength toolkit for building and deploying applications
based on the eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL). It enables
the automatic exchange and reliable extraction of financial information
across multiple software formats and technologies, including the
Internet. A resource for today's compliance-driven financial reporting
demands and risk management, the Interstage XBRL Processor allows
enterprises to address both the Sarbanes-Oxley Act in the US and
Basel-II worldwide.
-- Enhanced Interstage Business Process Manager is Fujitsu's best-of-breed
business process management software. It features a powerful and highly
