ITASCA, Ill., Oct. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- OfficeMax(R) announced today that it
has been selected as a 2004 U.S. Postal Service Quality Supplier Award winner.
The awards program recognizes suppliers that have made a difference in helping
the Postal Service by adding value to its services, improving efficiencies and
reducing costs. OfficeMax provides office supplies to Postal Service
facilities nationwide.
The award recipients, called "the best of the best" by Postmaster General
John E. Potter, were judged based on their contributions towards helping the
Postal Service operate more effectively and achieve their mission of providing
mail service to the American public. Individuals within the Postal Service who
have worked closely with OfficeMax nominated the company for the award.
"We are honored to be selected as a recipient of the Postal Service's
Quality Service Award," Chris Milliken, division president and CEO of
OfficeMax said. "The recognition underscores our ongoing commitment to driving
value for our customers."
OfficeMax accepted the Quality Supplier Award at a ceremony Tuesday in
Washington, D.C. It is one of eight companies receiving the award this year.
