Perot Systems Breaks Ground on Multi-Million Dollar Office Facility at the University of Nebraska Technology Park

New Facility to Help Drive Creation Of Up to 150 New Technology Jobs

PLANO, Texas, Oct. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Perot Systems
Corporation (NYSE: PER) launched construction of its new office facility in
Lincoln today at groundbreaking ceremonies at the University of Nebraska
Technology Park. Company officials, along with Nebraska Lieutenant Governor
Rick Sheehy, Lincoln Mayor Chris Buetler, members of the Lincoln Chamber of
Commerce and Lincoln business community, celebrated the start of
construction of the 150,000 square foot office complex that will seek
Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification once
complete.

The new facility, developed by KDC, is one of the largest private
construction projects seeking LEED certification in the state. The majority
of Perot Systems current Lincoln workforce, which totals approximately
1,000 associates, will be housed in the new facility. Construction of the
project is expected to be complete by the third quarter of 2009 and will
make Lincoln one of Perot Systems' largest U.S. employment locations. Perot
Systems plans to begin hiring additional employees for up to 150 new high
tech positions in Lincoln and recently held an open house as well as
participated in several area job fairs.

"Perot Systems thanks the City of Lincoln, the Lincoln Chamber of
Commerce and the University of Nebraska Technology Park for the opportunity
to expand our operations in this great city," stated Scott Barnes, vice
president of infrastructure solutions for Perot Systems. According to
Barnes, Perot Systems will develop a technology service delivery center at
the facility, as well as expand its IT Infrastructure Solutions unit into
Lincoln.

"This groundbreaking ceremony is the result of months of hard work and
commitment by all of the organizations involved. We are thrilled to be part
of such an amazing facility which will benefit both Perot Systems
associates and the community of Lincoln. The trust and cooperation shown
throughout this process by all parties has been great," said John Vonesh,
president of Perot Systems' insurance and business process solutions group.

"This project represents a great team effort between the public and
private sectors, resulting in a unique campus facility for Perot Systems
that is cost efficient and environmentally responsible," said Steve Van
Amburgh, CEO of KDC.

KDC plans to maximize the use of local sub-contractors to help complete
much of the construction and build-out work.
