EDISON, N.J., Oct. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- KCS Energy, Inc. (NYSE: KCS) today
announced the appointment of William D. Brown as Vice President, Exploration
of KCS Resources, Inc., the Company's Gulf Coast exploration and production
subsidiary.
Prior to this recent appointment, Mr. Brown served as Senior Geologist of
KCS Resources, a position he held since joining the Company in January 1995.
In his extensive, 21+ year career in oil and gas exploration, Mr. Brown has
also held similar positions with Hanson Mineral Company, Conquest Exploration
Company, Cenergy Exploration Company, Centex Oil and Gas Company and Gulf Oil
Corporation, where he began his career in 1976.
Mr. Brown, 46, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Earth Science from the
University of New Hampshire and a Masters of Science degree in Geology from
the University of New Orleans. He is a certified petroleum geologist and is a
member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and the Houston
Geologic Society. Mr. Brown resides in the Houston area with his wife and
four children.
