DALLAS, Oct. 17 /PRNewswire/ - Over 3,500 articles of clothing, medical
supplies, food, and baby supplies have been collected by Dallas based Global
Industrial Technologies' (NYSE: GIX) Canada, U.S., and Mexican Divisions for
distribution to victims of hurricane Pauline in Oaxaca and Guerrero, Mexico.
Global's over 4,000 employees at the company's Dallas headquarters,
Corrosion Technology International (Dallas, Canada, Mexico), Intool (Houston;
Springfield, Ohio), Ameri-Forge (Houston), Harbison-Walker (Pittsburgh, Penn.;
Hammond, In.) and Refractarios Mexicanos, S.A. de C.V. REFMEX (Mexico),
mobilized for a week-long campaign to collect and distribute the supplies as
part of the company's Global International Volunteer Effort (GIVE) program.
Distribution of the supplies is being coordinated through local Mexican
consulates throughout the U.S. and at Global's REFMEX refractories plant
in Saltillo, Mexico.
