Kent State University's School of Journalism and Mass Communication Offers Part 2 of Professional Development Series

    NORTH CANTON, Ohio, Oct. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- "How to Cut Through the Media
Clutter" by Dix & Eaton's Gary Wells, managing director of media relations,
will be the featured presentation in the second program of the new
professional development series for public relations professionals sponsored
by Kent State University's School of Journalism and Mass Communication
October 31.
    The new series, aimed specifically at younger public relations
practitioners, is being conducted at the KSU state-of-the-art conference
center on Kent's Stark campus.  The session will also feature a technology
presentation by PR Newswire's regional manager Trevor Loe.  He will focus on
the use of technology to reach the media.  PR Newswire is co-sponsoring the
series.
    A third session dealing with getting better results through research and
using new internet research techniques will be conducted November 21.  Both
programs will be held from 1 to 5 p.m.
