PITTSBURGH - United States Steel Corporation (NYSE: X), will be hosting
a groundbreaking ceremony for its capital investment program at the
company's Clairton Plant. The groundbreaking is scheduled for Wednesday,
Oct. 22, 2008 at 3 p.m. at U. S. Steel's Clairton Plant.
Among those scheduled to participate in the groundbreaking ceremony are
Pa. Gov. Edward G. Rendell; Allegheny County Executive Dan Onorato; U.S.
Rep. Mike Doyle; Pa. state Sen. Sean Logan; Pa. state Rep. David Levdansky;
Domenic Virgona, mayor of Clairton; John Surma, chairman and chief
executive officer of United States Steel Corporation; Lisa Roudabush,
general manager of U. S. Steel Mon Valley Works; employees of U. S. Steel,
and other state and local elected officials.
