Amarillo Biosciences, Inc.'s Supply Agreement With Natrol, Inc. Lands Them In Nationally Recognized Pharmacy

Amarillo Biosciences, Inc. Will Receive Payments

AMARILLO, Texas, Oct. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Amarillo Biosciences, Inc.
(OTC Bulletin Board: AMAR) announces the company's supply agreement with
Natrol, Inc. (Nasdaq: NTOL) will result in Natrol's "Dry Mouth Relief" brand
being sold in over 2,000 Eckerd pharmacies starting October, 2001. The
Company will receive payments on the sale of Natrol's "Dry Mouth Relief."
"Dry Mouth Relief," a patented dietary supplement, is the trade name for
pharmaceutical grade anhydrous crystalline maltose, which has been found to
relieve complaints of dry mouth, enhance salivary function, and promote oral
comfort. Amarillo Biosciences, Inc. is the exclusive supplier of
pharmaceutical grade anhydrous crystalline maltose to Natrol, Inc.
Dr. Joseph M. Cummins, President and CEO of Amarillo Biosciences, Inc.
said, "We are very pleased with 'Dry Mouth Relief' being sold in such
high-traffic, recognized pharmacies. Researchers estimate that at least
20% of the population over 50 years of age, as many as 15 million persons,
suffer from persistent complaints of dry mouth. That number could go higher
than 25 - 40 million persons if you include people in the US who suffer from
autoimmune diseases and take prescription medications that cause dry mouth."
Dr. Cummins concluded, "Our proven ability to develop innovative, new
products in close cooperation with our customers will enable us to continue to
take advantage of the many growth opportunities in the biotechnology market.
We believe this market is poised for significant growth."
