Detroit Diesel Announces Vice President of Service and Customer Support

    DETROIT, Oct. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Detroit Diesel Corporation (DDC) today
announced the appointment of Craig Cartmill as Vice President of Service and
Customer Support for the company.

    In this position, Cartmill, 45, will oversee the Detroit Diesel Customer
Support Center, Factory and Regional Field Service Staff, Parts Distribution,
Warranty Administration and the Technical Service development group, including
diagnostics and training.  His primary focus will be to ensure appropriate
focus on 2007 service readiness.  Additionally, Cartmill will drive the
continuous development of the Customer Service organization.
    Cartmill joined Detroit Diesel in 1981 as a Co-Op Student.  During his
career with Detroit Diesel, he has served in a wide variety of roles
including: manufacturing, inventory management, quality assurance, and
customer service management.  Cartmill's most recent position was as the
Director of Detroit Diesel's Worldwide Parts Distribution Center in Canton,
Ohio.  In this role, he was responsible for managing all facets of DDC's parts
distribution worldwide.  He holds a bachelor of business administration degree
from the University of Michigan.
