the Specialty Equipment Market Association's (SEMA) annual automotive

The specialty and performance aftermarket is a $25 billion industry, and
routinely registers growth rates well in excess of the original automotive
equipment sector.
"As McLaren Performance continues to accelerate, the automotive
aftermarket represents a huge opportunity for us -- particularly now that we
have supplemented our engineering services capabilities with manufacturing
expertise through our recent acquisition of Dart Machine, Ltd. We are now
truly positioned to provide engineering and product solutions from prototype
through production in such markets as SEMA represents -- particularly when
combined with our legendary brand equity," said Steven Rossi, president and
CEO, McLaren Performance Technologies.
The McLaren Performance exhibit (space number 6214 in the Center Hall,
just West of the Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Mopar stand) is derived from the imagery
recently created for its all-new corporate website,
http://www.mclarenperformance.com . The McLaren message is conveyed through an array
of graphic panels which define the Michigan-based firm's capabilities both in
Livonia and at its machining facility in OldCastle, Ontario, Canada. Those
messages come under the headings of "Driven by Heritage, "Powered by
Innovation" and "Accelerating into the Future."
McLaren machined products such as cylinder heads, engine blocks and
differential carrier housings will be on exhibit, along with a twin-
turbocharged Cadillac racing engine (courtesy of McLaren Performance's
development relationship with GM Racing). The firm's patented limited-slip
Gerodisc differential technology will also be displayed.
Clear!Blue, a recognized events and marketing concern from Birmingham,
Michigan, which is known for both its "Clear Thinking" and "Cool Ideas," was
engaged to create the McLaren Performance Technologies exhibit.
The SEMA Show runs from Tuesday, October 30 through Friday, November 2 at
the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show also features
the International Tire Expo.
The 11th International Automotive Media Conference will begin at 7 a.m. on
October 30 at the Las Vegas Hilton, and will be held in conjunction with the
IAMC Awards breakfast.
