NEW YORK, Oct. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- What is the spookiest Ghostwriter
mystery of all time? Noggin, the educational network from Nickelodeon and
Sesame Workshop, wants its viewers to decide. Beginning Wednesday,
October 24, kids can cast their vote online at http://noggin.com for the
scariest Ghostwriter mystery (each mystery story consists of four individual
half-hour episodes). On Halloween eve, Tuesday October 30, the field of
frightening contenders will be narrowed down to four choices for kids to cast
their final votes. The one winning mystery (all four episodes), chosen by
Noggin's viewers, will air back-to-back on Halloween, Wednesday, October 31,
from 8:00-10:00 p.m. (ET).
Ghostwriter is a mystery, adventure series designed to make reading and
writing fun and rewarding. At the heart of the show is a team of six
multicultural teens and pre-teens who work together to solve neighborhood
mysteries with the assistance of a friendly ghost, Ghostwriter. Ghostwriter
communicates only through written words, manipulating letters on computers,
chalkboards, notebook pages, really just about anywhere. The key to the
series is that each case cannot be solved without reading or writing skills,
and all involve teamwork, research and deductive reasoning.
Noggin currently reaches over 17 million households via cable, digital
cable and satellite. Exploding the boundaries between television and online,
Noggin is a unique interactive network aimed at kids 2-12 years old. A joint
venture from children's television pioneers Nickelodeon and Sesame Workshop,
the network's mission is to serve kids' natural desire to learn by creating a
place where learning is driven by them. Noggin celebrates kids' natural
excitement for learning by asking kids themselves to help shape the network's
agenda and steer its content.
