Head of 'Hot' Semiconductor Startup to Discuss Communications System-Chip
Challenges at Red Herring NDA And Gilder-Forbes Telecosm
SEATTLE, Oct. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. William T. Colleran, president and
CEO of Impinj, Inc. and an expert in analog circuit design for next-generation
communications products, will reveal how "disruptive" new chip technologies
will address the economic challenges facing the wireless and related markets
at two of the technology sector's most respected conferences. Impinj, which
raised $15 million from two Seattle area venture capital firms, ARCH Venture
Partners and Madrona Venture Group, unveiled its unique approach to solving
mixed-signal chip design challenges on October 22, 2001 to positive reaction
from key industry analysts. "Impinj's Self-Adaptive Silicon has exciting
implications for the communications semiconductor segment," said Will Strauss,
President of the electronic market research firm, Forward Concepts.
At the NDA Conference, Red Herring Magazine's premier executive event
(October 30, 2001, Dana Point, CA), Dr. Colleran will discuss how Impinj's
Self-Adaptive Silicon technology allows analog circuitry to benefit from
Moore's law, which previously has only driven the digital revolution. Dr.
Colleran is also a featured speaker at the renowned Gilder-Forbes Telecosm
conference (November 6, 2001, San Francisco, CA), an invitation-only event
where business leaders from the telecom, technology, investment and public
policy arenas gather to debate global issues and opportunities.
