New Ads Showcase TENDERCRISP(TM) ('TC') and Spicy TENDERCRISP(TM) ('Spicy')
Weighing-In Before the Big Match
MIAMI, Oct. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Burger King Corporation today unveiled a
series of new ads that continue to showcase the battle between its two premium
chicken sandwiches -- the TENDERCRISP(TM) ("TC") and Spicy TENDERCRISP(TM)
("Spicy"). The new "weigh-in" spots are part of the Company's "Chicken
Sandwich World Championship" campaign, which chronicles the two contenders
from their training regimens all the way up to the big event in which they go
head-to-head for the title "World Chicken Sandwich Champion."

The "weigh-in" portion of the campaign consists of a :30 second spot
leading to the dramatic final event. The first spot, launched on October 18,
introduced "TC" and "Spicy," and highlighted their training regimens. Now
airing, the "weigh-in" spot depicts the chickens stepping onto the scale,
similar to that of true boxers, and serves to highlight the intense
competition that is mounting, as consumers go online to vote for their
favorite chicken sandwich. The final event will be a one-hour show available
free to the viewing public on Direct TV and will be simulcast at
http://www.chickenfight.com on Friday, November 5 at 10 p.m. E.S.T.
"The fight between these world-class chicken sandwiches is getting
heated," said Russ Klein, Chief Marketing Officer, Burger King Corporation.
"It is clear from the number of votes pouring in that consumers are passionate
about their BURGER KING(R) chicken. To date, 'TC' and 'Spicy' are neck-and-
neck, but, as we have seen in other elections, the scales can tip at anytime.
We strongly encourage consumers to get online and vote."
Since October 18, the site has had 1.1 million hits, with consumers going
online to vote for their favorite chicken sandwich. Consumers can also support
their "chicken of choice" by visiting BURGER KING(R) restaurants and
purchasing a TENDERCRISP(TM) or Spicy TENDERCRISP(TM) sandwich.
