ANDERSON, Ind., Oct. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Remy International, Inc. today
announced the appointment of two senior officers. Kerry Shiba, who has
served as chief financial officer since May 2006 will now focus his energy
exclusively on leading the Remy OE organization as Senior Vice President of
Remy International and President of the OE business. Doug Laux joins as
chief financial officer of Remy International. Both positions are effective
immediately.
    "Kerry has done an excellent job in his role as CFO with the sale of
our Diesel business and with the recent financial restructuring work. He
will continue to contribute to our success by focusing on leadership of the
OE business," said John Weber, President and CEO.
    Doug Laux joins Remy as chief financial officer. For the last 12 years,
Mr. Laux has had a number of financial leadership roles at both publicly
traded and privately held companies including EaglePicher and IdeaCast. He
has served in such positions as Chief Financial Officer, Chief
Restructuring Officer, and as an Independent Consultant for several
companies.
