    CHICAGO, Oct. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- The Board of Directors of W.W. Grainger,
Inc. (NYSE: GWW) at its meeting today declared a cash dividend of 16 cents per
share payable December 1, 1999, to shareholders of record November 8, 1999.
