Super-Croc Scientist to Deliver Keynote Address at Red Herring Conference

  Dr. Paul Sereno, Leading Paleontologist, to Kick-Off Three-Day Conference

    DANA POINT, Calif., Oct. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Paul Sereno, the lead
paleontologist of a team of researchers who discovered a giant pre-historic
crocodile that preyed on dinosaurs, will kick-off Red Herring's annual NDA
conference at The St. Regis Monarch Resort & Spa at Dana Point on Sunday,
October 28 at 6:30 p.m.
    On October 25, Dr. Sereno and his team unveiled the fossils of a 40 foot
long, nine ton "SuperCroc" named Sarcosuchus imperator, the largest
crocodilian to have been discovered to date.  Believed to have been the
dominant predator of a river system that existed in the Sahara desert more
than 110 million years ago, the SuperCroc most certainly had a diet that
included dinosaur.
    Leading Red Herring's three-day conference that focuses on evolving trends
and technologies that will emerge and shift the current marketplace, Dr.
Sereno will address an audience of business leaders, CEOs, venture
capitalists, academics and entrepreneurs regarding the ever-changing history
of the universe through discovery and the innovations that lead to such
discoveries.  Dr. Sereno teaches paleontology, evolution and human anatomy at
the University of Chicago and led his first expedition to Argentina in 1998,
where his team discovered the first complete skeletons of the earliest
dinosaurs.
