Blended Solutions Enable Flexible, Customer-Centric Business Processes That
Result in a More Intelligent, Responsive, and Consistent Customer Experience

    SAN MATEO, Calif., Oct. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- E.piphany, Inc.
(Nasdaq: EPNY), a full-suite provider of customer relationship management
(CRM) solutions, today introduced several new CRM products that uniquely blend
marketing, sales and service functions at the point of customer interaction.
Based on a broad set of new software components delivered with the
E.piphany(R) 6.5 software suite, the new solutions include the E.piphany
TeleSales, E.piphany Contact Center, and E.piphany Event-Driven Marketing
software applications. Built on the industry's leading J2EE-based
architecture, the E.piphany 6.5 software suite delivers solutions that improve
the customer experience while minimizing total cost of ownership over time.

"With these new 'blended' solutions, companies are empowered to work
seamlessly across departmental, geographic, divisional, and product line
boundaries," said Ellen Olson, senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing at
E.piphany. "E.piphany's strength has long been our ability to break down the
silos between the traditionally separate marketing, sales and service
departments. With this new set of modular applications, companies can ensure
that every customer interaction fits into the broader context of the overall
customer experience."
Each new application in the E.piphany 6.5 software suite is built from a
standards-based set of component services, enabling companies to flexibly
deploy the exact functionality they need, implement the solution
incrementally, and dramatically cut costs of system maintenance -- all without
ripping-out existing systems or altering their current organizational
structure.

    The new software applications include:
-- E.piphany TeleSales: For many organizations, coordinating outbound
marketing activities with sales efforts is a major challenge --
particularly at scale. The E.piphany TeleSales software application
combines E.piphany's award-winning Campaign Management functionality,
for identifying, segmenting, and pulling target lists, with a new Sales
desktop designed for high-volume outbound telesales agents.
Integrations with predictive dialers enable high-volume outbound
calling, while ensuring compliance with the latest do-not-call
       regulations.
-- E.piphany Contact Center: Many companies are realizing that their call
centers are more than just a place to service inbound customer
requests. They also represent a prime opportunity to sell additional
products and extend the customer relationship. The E.piphany Contact
Center software application provides a blended agent desktop for not
only handling service inquiries, but also driving all aspects of sales
as well -- from cross-sell and up-sell offers, to order capture and
full lead management functionality. Agents can even perform outbound
sales calls during lulls in inbound volume, all through a single,
       intuitive interface.
    -- E.piphany Event-Driven Marketing: The E.piphany 6.5 software suite
extends the industry-leading E.piphany Marketing software product line
with this innovative new solution for optimizing every customer
interaction. The E.piphany Event-Driven Marketing software application
is designed to "listen" for relevant customer events (such as a
specific purchase, change of account status, or life event) and then
"trigger" appropriate activities across any customer-facing touch point
(such as a retention offer, alert to an account rep, or outbound
       telemarketing call).

According to Lisa Szturma, vice president of Application Management at
Pioneer Investment Management, "By deploying a combination of the E.piphany
Marketing and Sales software products, Pioneer is able to leverage a single
view of the customer across our marketing, sales and broker service
organizations. This capability has enabled Pioneer to build stronger and more
profitable relationships with its customers, as well as identify the types of
interactions that are most effective and ultimately drive revenue."
"Clients are demanding seamlessness among their marketing, sales and
service departments," said Cindy Howton, a managing director with
BearingPoint, Inc., one of the world's largest business consulting and systems
integration firms. "The old method of forcing applications to work together
just does not create the kind of open, flexible architecture necessary to
provide the level of customer service that today's discriminating consumers
expect. Offerings like E.piphany 6.5 'blended' applications can provide the
kind of framework needed for delivering the seamless environment our customers
require."
"Genesys and E.piphany share a common vision and alliance for integrated
multi-channel CRM," said Karl Holzthum, vice president of worldwide channels
and alliances at Genesys. "We are excited that with the new blended E.piphany
software solutions, Telesales and Contact Center, E.piphany and Genesys
together are able to help companies drive more efficient and effective
customer interactions than ever before."
