reported that BURGER KING(R) restaurants throughout the U.S. are not serving
tomatoes on its flagship burger, the Original WHOPPER(R) sandwich, in response
to a national tomato shortage. This is incorrect, and the Company is currently
not experiencing a tomato shortage.

In the event that quality tomato supply becomes a future issue, Burger
King Corporation has a contingency plan in place and will address any tomato
shortages on a regional basis.
