Plans Clinical Studies on Additional Products
CHESTERFIELD, Mo., Oct. 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Reliv International,
Inc. (Nasdaq: RELV), an international manufacturer and network marketer of
nutritional supplements and other food technology products, announced that the
Board of Directors of the Company has authorized a program under which several
of its core products, as well as newly developed products, will be submitted
for independent clinical trials and analysis.
"These will be the first formal studies to be conducted on Reliv
products," reported Dr. Carl W. Hastings, Reliv's Vice President and Chief
Food Scientist, "and we believe will place Reliv in a unique position among
companies providing nutritional supplements." Dr. Hastings said, "We are
entering a new era in which the science and technology of supplements is
advancing rapidly and benefits of these products to individuals can be
demonstrated. A principal goal of this program will be to establish evidence
of the safety and efficacy of our products."
Reliv's clinical testing program is under way, including preparations for
a testing program on several of Reliv's core products, as well as a current
program being conducted on a newly developed product which Reliv anticipates
introducing in early 2005.
