DALLAS, Jan. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Fleming (NYSE: FLM) today announced that
Meredith C. Anderson has been named to the position of Vice President,
Investor Relations effective immediately. Anderson reports to Neal Rider,
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

knowledge of the industry and a depth of experience in communicating financial
results and corporate strategies to the investment community," said Rider.

Anderson comes to Fleming from Evans & Sutherland Computer Corporation
where she held the position of Vice President, Marketing and Communications.
Prior to Evans & Sutherland she was with American Stores Company for fifteen
years where she held various finance, investor relations and marketing
positions. Meredith has a bachelor of science degree from the University of
California at Davis and a master's degree in business administration with
emphasis in corporate finance from the University of California at Berkley. "I
am very excited to be part of the Fleming team. My goal is to develop an
investor relations program that effectively communicates Fleming's results
and, most importantly, educates the financial community about the powerful
strategies that drive these results," stated Anderson.
