DALLAS, July 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Fleming (NYSE: FLM) today announced that
the Storehouse Markets, Inc. dispute in Salt Lake City has been settled,
contingent on final approval by the civil court. The claims in the dispute
relate to the late 1980s and early 1990s only.
The company vigorously denies the claims. This settlement resolves the
dispute without further expense or distraction and puts the matter behind the
company. The settlement is for $16 million, a portion of which is to be paid
by Fleming's insurance carriers.
