DALLAS, Jan. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Fleming (NYSE: FLM) today announced Shane
Boyd was promoted to Vice President, Communications. Boyd will be responsible
for associate communications, media relations, and supporting procurement and
retailer communications efforts. Shane will report to Scott Northcutt,
Executive Vice President, Human Resources.

leadership role within the management team," said Northcutt. "He consistently

Most recently, Boyd served as Director, Marketing and Communications for
Fleming. He joined Fleming's communications department in 1995 as the Media
Relations Manager. Prior to joining Fleming, Boyd served as the
Communications Specialist for a major electric utility company. From 1986 to
1992, Boyd worked for a leading advertising and public relations firm, where
he directed campaigns for a wide range of regional and national retail
clients. Boyd received his bachelor of arts degree at the University of
Oklahoma.
