Vectren, Ohio Workers Reach Tentative Deal

    EVANSVILLE, Ind., Oct. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Vectren Corporation
(NYSE: VVC) and United Utility Workers of America Local 175 reached a
tentative 4 year labor agreement on Friday evening, subject to a ratification
vote by the Union membership. Specifics of the agreement are not being
disclosed by Vectren and the Union at this time. The current agreement expires
on Monday October 31, 2005.  The Utility Workers represent 155 Vectren
employees in the greater Dayton area.

customers," said Vectren Vice President of Utility Operations Rick Schach.
"This agreement enables our well trained employees to continue providing the
service our customers expect as we enter the winter months."
