ROCKY MOUNT, N.C., Oct. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Centura Bank (NYSE: CBC) will
be sponsoring a seminar entitled "Unlocking Faith Based Lending" on November
10, 1998. The seminar is part of Centura's Community Centered Banking(C)
initiative, and is designed specifically for ministers and church leaders. The
seminar is presented by Centura Bank and P.T. & Associates, and is free of
charge for attendees.
The purpose is to assist churches and other faith-based organizations with
their borrowing needs for development and expansion projects. The seminar will
be held in Raleigh at the North Carolina State University McKimmon Center,
from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Topics to be covered include: lending
requirements, legal structure, accounting, cash management, investment
services, individual assistance in determining how much the organization can
borrow and help in preparing the loan request.
