RESTON, Va., Oct. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) has been
selected by QSS Group, Inc. to provide information technology services for
NASA. This selection will allow Raytheon to continue supporting NASA Ames
Research Center. Raytheon Technical Services Company (RTSC), a subsidiary of
Raytheon Company, is a subcontractor to QSS Group, Inc., which was awarded the
prime contract. The competitive, cost-plus-incentive-fee subcontract has a
total base value of $50.1 million, including four, one-year options at a total
base value of $40 million.
RTSC will help provide the NASA Ames Research Center with information
technology infrastructure support consisting of e-mail, systems
administration, web services and help desk operations. RTSC will also provide
business systems applications support; aerodynamics and computational fluid
dynamics research; human factors research; algorithm and software development
for air traffic management; advanced networking initiatives to support
scientific research; and educational and public outreach. Work will be
performed in Mountain View, Calif.
