Hella Offers Compact Xenon Driving Lamp

LAS VEGAS, Oct. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Hella Inc., the aftermarket division of
Hella North America, will showcase its high-performance line of Rallye 4000
Xenon headlamps at the 2005 SEMA/AAPEX Show (Nov. 1-4) in Las Vegas.
"The new Rallye 4000 Xenon lamps are the logical evolution of xenon
performance lighting," says John Remakis, marketing manager for Hella's North
American aftermarket operations. "The lamp has all the ruggedness and
lighting performance customers expect from our traditional Rallye 4000 product
series, but is 23 percent smaller, making it especially suitable for smaller
truck, SUV and dirt sports driving platforms."
Designed for use by motorsports enthusiasts, the Rallye 4000 Xenon lamps
produce extremely high output along with a color spectrum that is close to
natural daylight. The system uses a compact Generation IV ballast with a 39-
inch cable, which offers exceptional mounting flexibility behind the bumper or
grille. The lamp's xenon-filled capsule produces 2.5 times more light than
standard halogen light, but draws only 35 watts of power.
The compact lamps measure 6.69 inches wide by 6.77 inches high and 5.0
inches deep. The housing, ring and bracket are made from sturdy die-cast
zinc, and the reflector is a new high-sheen, free-form design that results in
outstanding optical performance and precision.
The xenon lamp is part of the Rallye 4000 series from Hella with
durability and performance proven time and again on race tracks and at off-
road events around the world.
The compact Rallye Xenon was developed by Hella to meet the challenges
presented by new, lightweight front-end materials and designs for today's off-
road vehicles and high-performance driving demands.
With its North American headquarters for aftermarket sales in suburban
Atlanta, Ga., Hella is a leading supplier to the world's automotive, truck,
