SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- BioSpace, BioNJ, and
Pennsylvania Bio welcomed over 800 biotech and pharmaceutical industry
professionals to the Biotech 2007 Life Science Career Fair on October 9,
2007 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The event, held in conjunction with the Biotech 2007 Symposium,
generated over 800 highly qualified biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical
device, and diagnostics candidates which kept the companies that were
recruiting very busy. This Career Fair offered a variety of biotech jobs,
pharmaceutical sales careers, biology jobs, clinical research jobs, as well
as many other life science careers. Some of the organizations hiring
qualified candidates included Biogen Idec, the Children's Hospital of
Philadelphia, GlaxoSmithKline, ICON Clinical Research, Merck Research
Laboratories and Novo Nordisk Pharmaceuticals.
"Pennsylvania Bio is very pleased with the turnout and quality of
candidates at the Biotech 2007 Career Fair," said Dennis "Mickey" Flynn,
President of Pennsylvania Bio. "This was the third Career Fair held in
conjunction with our annual event, and it was by far the most successful.
BioSpace delivered an incredibly organized and valuable recruiting forum to
the 43 life science companies that exhibited."
The marketing and events team at BioSpace managed the marketing and
advertising as well as the logistics for the event which included pre-
screening the 800 career hopefuls in attendance. The result was a very
productive day for biotech employers and job candidates alike.
Biochemists, cell culture scientists, clinical researchers,
oncologists, purchasing agents, pharmaceutical marketing professionals, and
many others attended to interview with top life science firms. Companies
such as Covance, Enzon Pharmaceuticals, Human Genome Sciences, Roche
Molecular Systems, Solstice Neurosciences, Vertex Pharmaceuticals and
others were hiring for pharmaceutical sales representatives, neuroscientist
jobs, cell biology careers, biochemistry jobs, purchasing jobs, and
oncology careers, just to name a few. The exhibiting companies have access
to a private, searchable BioSpace Resume Database containing the resumes of
those who registered for the event.
