Reno Air Announces Commission Change

RENO, Nev., Oct. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Reno Air, Inc. (Nasdaq: RENO) today
confirmed it will reduce its travel agent commission percentage to 8 percent
on most ARC transactions effective Oct. 7, 1997.
The airline is making this change to remain competitive following the
recent rate reductions by other carriers. This change will have a positive
effect on the commission costs of the company.
Reno Air will continue to remain a no-cap carrier paying travel agents a
full 8 percent commission on ARC transactions. The airline will continue to
pay a 10 percent commission on sales of Reno Air QQuick Escapes vacation
packages.

departures. The carrier's fleet of 30 McDonnell Douglas MD-80 and MD-90
series jets has an average age of less than seven years. Reno Air offers
everyday low fares, advance seat assignments, domestic and international
frequent flyer programs, a spacious first class cabin, "EZtrip" ticketless
travel and full participation in all major computer reservation systems.
