The DPS(TM) (Dual Port System) Returns to SEMA 2001

CANTON, Mich., and ELKHART, Ind., Nov. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- The Dual Port
System (DPS(TM)) is back -- at the 2001 SEMA Show and International Tire Expo
from October 30 -- Nov. 2 in Las Vegas, Booth #3833 -- and this time there are
more accessories that allow owners of trucks and SUVs to carry a large load
and fit their lifestyle into their life.
DPS debuted at SEMA 2000 in Las Vegas and at that time only a handful of
accessories were available. This year's show expands beyond the ongoing
accessories which included: DPS Party Table; DPS Space Saver(TM); DPS Rear
Tray Bike Carrier and DPS Electric Tilting Carrier/Lift Platform. Show goers
were impressed with the concept and wanted more.
Now DPS has added more new accessories including: DPS Cargo Carrier; DPS
Vertical Bike Rack; DPS Dump Basket; DPS Composite Cargo Carrier; DPS
Composite Cargo Carrier to Table; DPS Motorcycle Carrier and the DPS Load
Extender.
"This year we anticipate DPS will generate even more excitement at SEMA
2001 because we have more accessories than we did last year," said Joe
Hosinski, director of marketing for Reese and Draw-Tite Products Inc. "Early
indications show there has already been a great interest in the DPS Load
Extender. This accessory allows the customer to use an SUV or truck to haul
long lumber or a canoe to mention just a couple of items."
Draw-Tite of Canton, Michigan, and Reese of Elkhart, Indiana, are jointly
marketing the Dual Port System hitch receiver. The DPS features two round
ports and a square receiver hitch for stability and versatility. The two two-
inch ports on the DPS hitch, which are 28 inches apart and tilted at a 20-
degree angle, along with the accessories, combine to provide a more stable
anchoring of accessories than a single port. The DPS hitch makes it possible
for consumers to ultimately attach up to a dozen lifestyle accessories.
