LEXINGTON, Mass., Nov. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --
Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) announced that Block 3, the third and final power
block for the Ratchaburi power plant in Thailand was delivered today to its
owner EGAT. As a result, care, custody and control of the facility has
transferred to the owner as planned and the project has moved into the
closeout phase. Raytheon's former subsidiary, Raytheon Engineers &
Constructors, provided engineering, procurement and technical assistance for
the project.
This was one of the last three projects still in construction that have
been supported by Raytheon as part of discontinued operations. The two
remaining projects still in construction, Mystic Station and Fore River, are
expected to be mechanically complete in the first quarter of 2003.
