(Nasdaq: ULTI), a leading provider of Web-based payroll and workforce
management solutions, announced today that Alpine Engineered Products, Inc., a
leader in truss design and truss connector plate manufacturing, has selected
Ultimate Software's UltiPro delivered through its hosted model, Intersourcing.
Alpine Engineered Products has been using a service bureau's hosted
solution that doesn't provide much-needed benefits functionality. The
manufacturer's HR staff realized that automating benefits management and
merging the data with payroll and other workforce details could result in
significant improvements in efficiency. Alpine chose Intersourcing in August
2005 to consolidate its workforce information into one integrated system that
does not require the purchase of new hardware or ongoing internal support from
its technology team.

this functionality and would improve our benefits reporting capabilities as

advantage of the Web for benefits enrollment so that employees can view their

forms. System administrators can see the status of employees in the enrollment
process and send reminders by e-mail. Once complete, files for benefit
providers can be exported, negating data entry, improving information
accuracy, and expediting the entire process. With Intersourcing, these time-
saving procedures are performed over the Internet from anywhere, at any time.
Since Alpine has been accustomed to accessing its solution online,
Intersourcing was the perfect choice for the manufacturer. Intersourcing
customers can gain entry to UltiPro's comprehensive HR, benefits, and payroll
functionality through a Web browser and be assured that their data is safe. In
addition to undertaking the maintenance responsibilities associated with
UltiPro, Ultimate Software houses databases for its Intersourcing customers in
a secure, hardened data center using the most advanced servers. These services
are available at a per-employee, per-month price.
