Raytheon Honored at Special Olympics Gala

    TEWKSBURY, Mass., Nov. 1, 2006 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company (NYSE:
RTN) was honored for its continued support by Special Olympics
Massachusetts (SOMA) during its 35th annual Hall of Fame Dinner held last
week at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass.
    In addition to sponsoring Special Olympics in Massachusetts with
funding and more than 700 volunteers both in 2005 and 2006, Raytheon
employees from Integrated Defense Systems (IDS), Raytheon Global
Headquarters, Network Centric Systems (NCS), Raytheon Technical Services
Company, and Raytheon Australia also supported Special Olympic events in
Rhode Island, Colorado and Australia.
    IDS President Dan Smith was presented the first President's Award for
his personal commitment and IDS' support of Special Olympics in
Massachusetts, while Tom Kostizak, Engineering Fellow from NCS in
Marlborough, Mass., was inducted into SOMA's Hall of Fame for his work as a
volunteer manager and co-director since 1998.
    "It is a privilege and honor for us to be associated with Special
Olympics," Smith said. "I accept this honor on behalf of my teammates.

    In presenting the award, SOMA President and CEO Bob Johnson said,
