Constellation Energy Elects John L. Skolds to Board of Directors

    BALTIMORE, Nov. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Constellation Energy (NYSE:
CEG) today announced that John L. (Jack) Skolds, recently retired executive
vice president of Exelon Corporation, has been elected to the Constellation
Energy board of directors.

knowledge of the energy delivery and generation businesses, including an

initiatives."
    Skolds retired in September 2007 as executive vice president of Exelon
Corporation and president of Exelon Energy Delivery and president of Exelon
Generation. He joined Exelon in 2000 as senior vice president of Exelon
Corporation and chief operating officer of Exelon Nuclear, and in 2002, was
named president and chief nuclear officer of Exelon Nuclear. In 2003,
Skolds advanced to executive vice president of Exelon Corporation and
president of Exelon Energy Delivery. Early in 2005, he took on the
additional role of president, Exelon Generation. Prior to joining Exelon,
Skolds was president and chief operating officer of South Carolina Electric
and Gas, a subsidiary of SCANA Corp.
    Skolds currently serves on the boards of directors of Northwestern
Memorial Healthcare and Zolo Technologies, Incorporated. He previously
served on the boards of directors of the Institute for Nuclear Power
Operations and the Nuclear Energy Institute. Skolds earned a bachelor's
degree from the United States Naval Academy, where he graduated with
distinction, and a Master of Business Administration degree from the
University of South Carolina.
