Nakamichi Line in Stores Early November
SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- The Good Guys! (Nasdaq: GGUY), a
leading specialty retailer of consumer entertainment electronics, and
Nakamichi America Corp., the manufacturer and distributor of premium mobile
car audio and home electronics products, today announced an alliance to offer
Nakamichi's premier line of SoundSpace home audio systems in all 79 of The
Good Guys! locations. Beginning the first week of November, The Good Guys!
stores will carry select systems from the innovative Nakamichi SoundSpace line
of design-driven audio systems. The alliance makes The Good Guys! the largest
dealer of Nakamichi audio systems in the country.

The initial products offered by The Good Guys! include Nakamichi's
SoundSpace 3, a personal Stereo Music System which incorporates an AM/FM
tuner, subwoofer and CD clock radio; the SoundSpace 5, a Stereo Music System
that is a wall-mountable vertical load CD mini system with a 3-disc
MusicBank(TM) CD changer; and the SoundSpace 8 Music System, which upgrades
the 5 system with a 5-disc MusicBank(TM) CD changer with a separate
bi-amplified subwoofer.
The addition of the Nakamichi line is the latest in a series of efforts to
enhance The Good Guys! product mix through the addition of high-end
entertainment electronics and early introductions of leading-edge products and
services. Earlier this month, The Good Guys! premiered Alpine's mobile DVD
Navigation System and became the first specialty electronics retailer to offer
Excite@Home's high-speed cable Internet service. In September, the company
eliminated its entire inventory of computer and home office products to focus
exclusively on consumer entertainment electronics.
