- Hertz Joins Wayport's Wi-Fi World(TM) Wireless High Speed Internet Access -
PARK RIDGE, N.J., Nov. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- The Hertz Corporation announces
the introduction of wireless, high-speed internet access in more than 50 major
airport locations nationwide during the first quarter of 2005. In a
preliminary agreement with Wayport, one of the world's largest providers of
Wi-Fi wireless and high-speed internet access, customers at certain Hertz
airport locations will be able to connect to the internet from inside the
Hertz facility as well as from the #1 Club Gold rental area. Locations to
receive the service include major airports in California, Florida, Texas, New
York, Illinois and Pennsylvania.

providing a service not yet available through other car rental companies,"

high-speed wireless internet access, often viewed as an essential part of
today's mobile lifestyle."
When accessing the internet, a co-branded Hertz/Wayport welcome page will
be displayed and customers who are members of Wayport's Wi-Fi World(TM) will
be able to use the service as part of Wayport's standard package. Other
customers have the option of purchasing a one time connection for use at the
Hertz location for a minimal fee. In addition, customers will be able to use
Wayport's extensive nationwide network of Wi-Fi hot spots at hotels, airports
and McDonald's(R) restaurants. Hertz NeverLost(TM), the industry leading
in-car satellite navigation system, will have a listing of all Wayport Wi-Fi
locations and will be able to provide directions to the closest Wayport Wi-Fi
location.
The agreement between The Hertz Corporation and Wayport is subject to
definitive legal documentation and customary conditions.
