Merrimac Awarded $740,000 Order For Military Surveillance Aircraft Application

    WEST CALDWELL, N.J., Nov. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Merrimac
Industries, Inc. (Amex: MRM), today announced that it has received an order
for $740,000 to continue to provide a suite of products for use in military
surveillance aircraft that are equipped with an extensive array of
sophisticated intelligence gathering equipment, enabling military
specialists to monitor the electronic activity of adversaries. Deliveries
are scheduled for 2007.
    Chairman and CEO Mason N. Carter commented, "Merrimac is pleased to
continue our long-term relationship with our defense customer in supporting
their current and future requirements. Initially, Merrimac designed and
started shipping production units in the year 2000 and, over the years, has
been supplying integrated platform solutions for this mission-critical
