lifestyles to promote its Energizer(R) e2(R) Titanium Technology(R) batteries
ST. LOUIS, Nov. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Today, Energizer is announcing

through an extensive marketing program in 2006.

DUB's roots in the hip-hop and car customization cultures, combined with
Energizer's commitment to high performance, longer-lasting products makes for
an unexpected partnership. But together they are reaching out to those who
value their own unique style -- including the "tuner" culture, which exploded
onto the scene after celebrities like 50 Cent and Latrell Sprewell have spent
millions of dollars customizing their rides. The collaboration supports
Energizer's continuous effort to keep the music going by tapping into the
trend-setting DUB lifestyle of individualism.
"Most people associate DUB with celebrities, music and customized
automobiles, so they may ask why Energizer?" said Myles Kovacs, founder of DUB
magazine. "In actuality though, we both focus on providing consumers with
top-of-the-line products that will in one way or another, allow them to
express their individuality and uniqueness."
Energizer and DUB are kicking off their partnership at the 2005 Specialty
Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas the week of October 31,
2005. As part of the program, consumers can enter a sweepstakes to win a
tricked-out Dodge Charger, dubbed the Orange Whip, in the fall of 2006. A
prototype of the custom DUB-produced Charger will debut at the SEMA Show.
In addition to the sweepstakes, consumers can view the DUB-produced
Charger on the 2006 DUB Magazine Car Show and Concert Tour, which hits 14
cities nationwide, beginning in February. The partnership includes
promotional support and retail-tainment events, limited edition collectible
die-cast cars at retail, a custom Web site for consumers to download screen
savers and other offers, and featured programming on MTV's hit show, Cribs.
Selected advertising support also is being finalized for the remainder of
2006.
"We're thrilled about the DUB partnership, because it demonstrates our
company's mission to find innovative ways to engage consumers," said Jeff
Ziminski, vice president of marketing for Energizer. "Our focus for the e2
brand is a younger audience who lives and breathes its individualism in every
aspect of their being, and the partnership makes complete sense to accomplish
this goal."
