BorgWarner Turbo Systems North America Unveils Hot New Performance Series for U.S. Market

High-Performance Line Will Be Branded AirWerks,
On Display for the First Time at the 2002 SEMA Show

    ASHEVILLE, N.C., Nov. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- BorgWarner Turbo Systems
North America, a QS9000 supplier to the automakers and a global leader in
forced-air technology, announced today the release of its hot new line of
aftermarket high-performance engine boosting devices under the brand name
AirWerks. American auto enthusiasts now have access to some of the same
turbocharger technology that is behind cars like the powerful Audi RS4
Bi-Turbo and awe-inspiring Porsche 911 Turbo.
"We have seen such an increase in consumer demand for high-quality
aftermarket turbo upgrades and high-performance retrofits that we created a
product line to serve this market," says Jack Lorimer, North American
Aftermarket Director of Sales for BorgWarner Turbo Systems. "Since this
performance line specializes in forcing more air into an engine to enable it
to produce considerably more power, utilizing some of the world renown German
turbo technology, we have branded the product line AirWerks."
The AirWerks line will feature an assortment of carefully chosen K and S
series turbochargers to meet a wide array of high-performance engine
requirements. These turbos will be steadily improved based on the latest
findings in aerodynamic and materials technology.
With participation from strategic partners like Area 51 and Innovative
Turbo Systems, we also are bringing installation kits to market that make
AirWerks products consumer-friendly.
Most of the AirWerks product offerings will be available for purchase in
North America in January 2003.
