(Nasdaq: AAII) announced today that it has granted Salix Pharmaceuticals an
exclusive license to market the 25 mg, 75 mg and 100 mg strengths of Azasan(R)
(azathioprine). The agreement calls for Salix to make an up-front payment to
aaiPharma as well as on-going royalty on net sales. aaiPharma will continue
to manufacture the products and supply all of Salix's needs for the products.
