LAS VEGAS, Nov. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- A concept gliding rear window
that transforms light truck styling and functionality is featured in the
Visteon Corporation (NYSE: VC) exhibit (Booth No. 33705) at the Specialty
Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas Nov. 4-7, 2003.

The Visteon GlideMaster(TM) gliding rear window is slated for market
testing in the coming months. This new design allows vehicle owners the
convenience, comfort and versatility of a rear-sliding window without the
add-on appearance of current designs. The GlideMaster design team developed a
fully frameless window package with flush glass that enhances the vehicle
maker's carefully styled rear cab profile and gives the buyer new options for
customization.
"Visteon has created a rear gliding window that provides an ideal blend of
the best original equipment-level construction features and innovative
aftermarket functionality, but without the styling and performance compromises
found in other products," said Roy Drake, director of Carlite Glass for
Visteon Aftermarket. "Response to this exciting new concept has been
positive, and we anticipate strong enthusiasm among truck accessory
distributors and retailers attending SEMA."
A key feature of GlideMaster is customization offered through a wide
variety of etched graphics. The sliding portion of the window is easily
removed for etching, making the treatment fast and affordable. In addition,
each window features tinted glass for enhanced privacy, security and solar
control and incorporates an innovative new latching design that discourages
break-ins.
GlideMaster's world-class construction features ensure smoother opening
and closing and optimal sealing performance, according to Drake. The gliding
center window closes on a weather-tight perimeter seal and the unit's premium
track end-cap design prevents moisture from dripping into the cab when the
window is wet and then opened.
