PITTSBURGH, Oct. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Monday, Oct. 4, at 9 a.m., Trumbull
Corp. will close the "hook ramp" carrying traffic from the Tenth Street Bypass
to Fort Duquesne Boulevard and Commonwealth Place, the Pennsylvania Department
of Transportation advised motorists.
The ramp is part of this year's portion of the $40-million Fort Pitt
Bridge and Tunnel Project. Trumbull Corp. will reopen the ramps to traffic by
the weekend of Oct. 16.
During the work, motorists can use Fort Duquesne Boulevard to Stanwix
Street to Penn Avenue to Commonwealth Place.
Trumbull also will be periodically closing the Tenth Street Bypass on
weekdays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. over the next several weeks for
resurfacing. PennDOT is recommending motorists avoid the Tenth Street
Bypass during these hours until the project is completed.
