Western Union and Sprint Offer Convenient New Payment Option to Sprint PCS Customers

Western Union(R) SwiftPay(R) Service Now Available to All Sprint PCS Customers
                    In Nearly 40,000 Locations Nationwide

    DENVER, and KANSAS CITY, Mo., Nov. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Western Union
Financial Services, Inc., a subsidiary of First Data Corp. (NYSE: FDC) and
Sprint (NYSE: FON; PCS) which operates the Sprint PCS all-digital, all-PCS
nationwide wireless network, today announced an agreement that allows Sprint
PCS customers to make their wireless phone payments at any of Western Union's
nearly 40,000 agent locations in the United States, using the Western Union(R)
SwiftPay(R) service.  This new payment option is available to any of Sprint
PCS' more than 14 million wireless customers, regardless of account type.
    The addition of the Western Union SwiftPay service expands the Sprint PCS
payment network and provides increased convenience for Sprint PCS customers.
The payment process is easy.  Customers simply present their wireless
telephone number and cash payment at any Western Union agent location,
including many grocery stores, convenience stores and other retail locations
where Sprint PCS customers already do business.
