PORTLAND, Ore., Nov. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- -Cathy Baldwin Dunn, vice president
of communications for Willamette Industries, and a 23-year employee at the
Portland-based forest products company, died at Providence Hospital in
Portland Tuesday afternoon after a long and valiant fight with cancer.
"Cathy's courage and determination in her fight against this cruel disease
is a testament to the strength of the human spirit in the face of adversity,"
said Willamette President and Chief Executive Officer Duane McDougall. "We
have all valued Cathy's wisdom, knowledge, dedication and certainly her
friendship for many years. She will be deeply missed throughout the company
and the industry."
Dunn guided communications at Willamette since 1978, when she joined the
company as corporate communications manager. She was named vice president in
1997.
