NEW YORK, Nov. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Anne Balaban has been named Vice
President and Publisher of Every Day With Rachael Ray, it was announced
today by Suzanne M. Grimes, President, Food and Entertaining, The Reader's
Digest Association, Inc. (RDA). Ms. Balaban joins Every Day With Rachael
Ray from Everyday Food, where she was Senior Vice President and Publisher
since 2004.
"With her wealth of experience in both the food category and the
lifestyle category, Anne is the ideal publisher to lead Every Day With
Rachael Ray to the next level," said Grimes. "Furthermore, her combination
of print and digital experience will be instrumental in creating powerful

Ms. Balaban joined Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Inc. (MSLO) in 2001
as Advertising Director for marthastewart.com. She was named publisher of
Everyday Food in 2004 and under her leadership the magazine was recognized
as Ad Age's "Launch of the Year" in 2005. Prior to MSLO, Ms. Balaban was Ad
Director at fashionmall.com, and before that she held advertising sales
positions at Self, Allure, In Style, Rolling Stone, Vogue and New Woman.
She began her career at USA Today.
Ms. Balaban joins Every Day With Rachael Ray as the magazine continues
its phenomenal growth, with the rate base doubling from 750,000 in 2006 to
1.5 million in 2007. Advertising demand is equally strong, as 2007 ad
revenue through the October issue jumped 400% or $47 million vs. 2006.
