Financial Corporation (NYSE: NCF) announced today that President and Chief
Executive Officer Ernest C. Roessler will address the BancAnalysts Association
of Boston Conference today at 2:40 PM. EDT at Le Meridien Hotel in Boston, MA.

In anticipation of this conference and other analyst and investor meetings
over the coming weeks, the Company also reaffirmed its cash earnings per share
guidance of $1.52-$1.53 for 2001 and $1.75 - $1.80 for 2002. On a NEW GAAP
basis, the Company's earnings per share guidance for 2002 is $1.55 - $1.60,
above the current First Call consensus of $1.51.
