Brasserie Las Olas Announces Fall & Winter Menu Release

Downtown Fort Lauderdale Favorite charts new course under new Executive Chef,

    FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Nov. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Brasserie Las Olas continues
to make waves in downtown Ft. Lauderdale.  The neighborhood's favorite
restaurant releases its new Fall/Winter menu on Thursday, November 18th.
    "The new menu is a slight departure from our previous menus, however we
have kept all of our Guests' favorite dishes!" said Doug Zeif, chief executive
of the parent company, Fifth Taste Concepts.  "We are always pushing the
envelope to keep Brasserie Las Olas 'fresh' in all areas so all of our devoted
regular Guests don't get menu fatigue. We usually like to get this menu out
prior to Boat Show weekend, but the hurricanes set us back a few weeks."
    The new menu features four new fresh fish features, like Basil-Wrapped
Yellowfin Tuna, Shrimp and Vegetable-Crusted Cod, Sesame-Seared Salmon, and
the All-American Cowboy Steak as well as an array of new dishes that are
prepared without the use of butter or cream including Silky Mushroom Bisque.
    "This new menu gives us an opportunity to stretch our legs.  Fresh fish
and seafood have always been an opportunity here for us on Las Olas as there
is little competition in that regard," said Executive Chef, Eric Sublin.  "Not
only have we put together a menu that is healthier and more creative than our
summer menu, but we have managed to lower some of the prices on our dinner
menu as well."
    "This is a real feat for us in these days of the South Florida economy
still reeling from the effects of three hurricanes and higher gas prices,
which have had a huge effect on wholesale food prices.  Menu development has
always been a talent of ours (we're retained by some of the USA and Europe's
largest food service companies to execute menu development & product
engineering) so we were able to 're-engineer' a few items to be able to lower
the price for the consumer," said Ian M. Berkowitz, a principal in Fifth Taste
Concepts.  "Even our $19 three-course, priced-fixed Pre-Theater Menu is being
offered as '2-for-1' until the end of the year.  In this regard, we are able
