announced today that Alan Dick has been named Senior Vice President
Manufacturing, Rolled Products North America for Aleris International Inc.,
succeeding Denis Ray who will be retiring after thirty seven years in the
aluminum industry. Alan is a veteran of the aluminum industry with over
twenty-two years of experience. Most recently, Alan has been responsible
for Aleris's global metals procurement team. Alan joined Commonwealth
Industries, a predecessor company of Aleris, in October 1998 as the
Director, Metal Purchasing and prior to joining Commonwealth Industries
held a variety of commercial roles in the aluminum industry. Alan will
continue to be based in Aleris's Beachwood, Ohio headquarters.
